David Saracco

David Saracco has been making things for most of his life. He started at age 15 on Philadelphia’s Jewelers Row, learning jewelry design and working at the bench. That early experience taught him patience, attention to detail, and the satisfaction of turning an idea into something real.

Later, he studied filmmaking at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and went on to work in writing, directing, multimedia, publishing, and design. Painting was always part of his life, and over time it became the place where all of those interests seemed to come together.

​

His paintings are inspired by personal memories, travel, Mexico, people, places, humor, mortality, and sometimes just an image that won’t leave him alone. The work can be realistic, surreal, symbolic, or some mix of all three.

 

He still takes on select custom jewelry commissions as well.
